The Mutya ng Pilipinas, Incorporated (MPI) is the original and foremost pageant organization in the Philippines and in Asia. Widely recognized in 1968 as it annually conducts nationwide competition with a major vision on promoting Tourism for the Philippines within Asia and West Pacific.
Thus, the direct participation of delegates from the Overseas Filipino Communities is a Mutya’s original forethought.
Since the 60’s era, it consistently shaping young Filipina aspirants to be one of the finest global beauty front runners. Worthy of being recognized as the country’s representative in international beauty battlefield.
For almost five decades now and still counting, it plays a significant role in empowering modern women.
It served as the facsimile ground of world class beauty queens. Previous winners are now philanthropist, advocates of socio-civic organizations to politicians, physicians, lawyers, movie and television personalities and other well-applauded careers.
Beauty Tourism Advocate
Over the past years, “Beauty Tourism” has made MPI a cut above the other beauty pageants.
It is dedicated to assist in promoting the major core: Tourism, Social Responsibility, Fashion, and Beauty pageantry. It develops commendable undertakings that will further enhance the Philippines as a major and esteemed tourism paradise. It also strengthens the best about the Philippines and the significance of being a ‘Filipina with a social responsibility.
The yearly national pageant events serve as a tool to highlight the best of everything about the Philippines and the unique qualities of Filipinas, here and overseas. The fine mixture of representatives from Overseas Filipino Communities add more glitter and reinforces the camaraderie among the candidates.
MPI’s official Pageant Directors from Asia like Singapore, Japan, Doha Qatar to Northern and Southern California, Nevada, Arizona, Maryland, Midwest, the East Coast, Hawaii, Canada, Australia, Germany, the United Kingdom, Iceland and Scandinavia strengthen the cultural gap and strengthen the solidarity even more.
For the 49th edition of the Mutya ng Pilipinas 2017, the 30 representatives from the regional, NCR and overseas communities will vie for the most-coveted titles of Mutya ng Pilipinas – Asia Pacific International 2017, Mutya ng Pilipinas – Tourism International 2017 and the newest major title of Mutya ng Pilipinas – Top Model of the World 2017.
The winners of the Mutya ng Pilipinas Pageant are sent to international pageants as Philippines’ representative to elite international competitions, such as Miss Asia Pacific International which will be held in Manila on October, Miss Tourism International in Malaysia and Top Model of the World in Cairo, Egypt.
